Bryan Johnson’s Water Pik

Another important oral hygiene tool is the water pik.

These devices are becoming more and more popular as portable, hand-held versions are more affordable.

Looking at Bryan’s oral routine video, we spotted the below water flosser!

Based on personal experience, these devices are better at cleaning between teeth toward the back of your mouth.

They often clear out additional debris that flossing misses.

In his oral hygiene overview, we spotted Bryan using Oral-B brand floss.

The good news is that this is easy to find in most stores and won’t break the bank.

While many people neglect flossing, it’s incredibly important for managing plaque levels in the mouth.

Bryan Johnson Tea Tree Oil

Byran uses Tea Tree essential oil drops diluted with water.

The brand he uses is Plant Therapy.

According to Bryan, he swishes two drops in his mouth before rinsing.

Warning: Using essential oil for internal use is commonly discouraged, so please use caution and do your own research before adopting this protocol.

While there is some scientific literature on tea tree oil, it is widely recommended to use a safe, diluted alternative.

Bryan’s plaque index is now lower than his dentist’s and son’s.

Anecdotally he attributes this to both an improvement in his diet, but also regularly using a tea tree oil rinse.

Bruxism and Teeth Grinding

For years, Bryan struggled with stress-related bruxism or grinding of the teeth.

He tried to address this by wearing a sports mouthguard at night but now acknowledges that this may have made matters worse.

Eventually, Bryan found a product called SomnoDent Avant, which he now uses regularly.
